I have researched my pull list significantly since starting to collect batman. I've officially collected all batman family comics since 1987, or year-one. I refuse to collect team-up's, super teams or major cross overs as I see them as taking bat's out of his true element and I'd rather see him shine then try and sort of apply his brand of work to unfamiliar situations.

Recent titles have thrown a wrench into this mix. I collect BoP, because it was considered a bat family title before one year later. Unfortunately, DC decided to remove that handy little bat symbol from the front of bat family titles. I have finally come to copes with the fact that I can do without black canary's new title because it will hold very little if any bat continuity. The new wrench comes with titles like simon dark and batman and the outsiders. I'm wondering if these titles would be considered part of the family of bat books. The new outsiders might be able to be placed, but I'm not certain about simon, maybe too soon to tell. Anyone have any opinions that could help point me in the right direction?
