I don't know if this question has been asked and how many times it has been asked before so I apologize if I'm being repetitive. What is your opinion about Anne Hathaway playing the role of Selina Kyle? I think she's too princess diaries to play the Catwoman, maybe she'll surprise me but I just don't think she has the sexy bad chick attitude that is Catwoman. On another note, I watched a trailer for the Dark Knight Rises and noticed that Bane looks different, which for me was also disappointing...I wasn't a fan of the mask and Bane is supposed to be huge isn't he? The Bane I know is pumped full of venom.

They're doing something different with this latest series of Batman movies. They're trying to make Batman as realistic as possible (eg. no Bat-rope swinging/climbing, no weird poisons from Joker, no Robin, and more).

Catwoman's a cat-burglar, and that's how she gets her name, I imagine. Her goggles, when resting on top of her head, look like the cat-ears from the 1960's Batman TV show.

I disagree with this approach, as you do. I wish they'd bring back more of the fantasy elements of the Batman mythos, and just have a lotta fun with it! \:\)

Anne Hathaway is perfect for Catwoman and Tom Hardy is perfect for Bane.

I would not have chosen anyone else.

The masks & costumes, that's another topic.

I will wait & see.

Let's have Batman be fun again. I'm most of the way through the latest Showcase Presents Batman. Never read the crazy "Paul is Dead" homage in issue 222 before. There's a great write up here:

And now a moment of silence for when comics were wacky and nutty in a good way!

YES! I LOVE the Showcase Volumes, Jeff! I've only got two of 'em, and so I'm not up to "THE Batman" era yet, but I'm lookin' forward to it. \:\)

And it's weird. Until 1980, Robin was ALWAYS older than me. I'll look at artwork from 1972, when -I- was ten, and I'm amazed at how YOUNG Robin was back then! LOL \:\)

I remember when I first realized I had aged passed Dick "Nightwing" Grayson. It kinda freaked me out...but there was still a long perioud where at least I could say I was a contemporary of Bruce Wayne if not definitively younger than him...

Stupid reboot.
