What to say about this issue? I liken it to eating the best sundae you have ever eaten. The ingredients are great. They blend perfectly. The is only one problem - you only get one bite and it is gone.
That is this story. Great art. Great set up, but it is a entire book that in the old days, when kids did not play on my lawn, could have told in three pages.
This is the story. Poison Ivy uses her powers to enslave every one on earth. Bruce was able to vaccinate himself and Selina. It is them against the world. That is it. A couple of nice touches - Ivy speaking through Alfred, and when Bruce is going to hit Remote controlled Alfred, she sends Flash to take the blow.
But that is it. A whole issue to set up the next issue for when the action begins. In the old, good lawn days, Bruce would had to have exciting battles against friends turned drones. It would ended with Ivy laughing, saying she controlled the whole world to a bruised Bats/Cats duo. It would have taken 20 minutes to read. This issue took like 3 minutes.
So l give this both thumbs up and thumbs down. A lot to like, but no where near enough of it.
Or I could be wrong.
