Well, the sales estimates are in for January, and to date... Black Panther #1 - 69,930 (19,440) Black Panther #2 - 47,533 Black Panther #3 - 44,925 Black Panther #4 - 40,804 Black Panther #5 - 37,401 Black Panther #6 - 35,256 Black Panther #7 - 42,905 Black Panther #8 - 46,239 (5,745) Black Panther #9 - 40,173 Black Panther #10 - 31,987 Black Panther #11 - 29,327 Black Panther #12 - 27,933 Black Panther #13 - 26,054 Black Panther #14 - 28,809 Black Panther #15 - 28,361 Black Panther #16 - 28,091 Black Panther #17 - 27,993 Black Panther #18 - 69,912 Black Panther #19 - 28,372 Black Panther #20 - 26,585 Black Panther #21 - 34,257 (8,180) Black Panther #22 - 47,556 (6,288) Black Panther #23 - 54,762 Black Panther #24 - 57,709 ...everything's looking pretty good. Thank the Panther God for Civil War. *love* And note: ICv2 estimates are 15 to 20% lower than the actual orders of the comic (what the creators see on their pay checks). Source: http://www.icv2.com/articles/home/10097.html BP #25 should be in the high-50k range as well, maybe (probably) even in the low-60k's. After that, the FF issues and the Zombie issues should keep it at least in the low-30s/high 20s. At least. My money's on the mid-to-low 30k's, because there seems to be a fair amount of positive buzz with the Civil War issues, so some of those readers will stick around for a bit, methinks. Of course, most of the people who hated it before still hate it now, and will forever hate it until there's a new writer. So there's nothing new there. But again, those new people that picked it up just to complete their Civil War crossovers will make up for that, I think, and increase the number of readers at least for a few issues. So with the FF issues, the "Zombie" arc (or issues), and Joe Quesada mentioned Storm playing a part in the X-Men event later in the summer/fall, so probably another X-Men crossover issue or three... so add all that up, and we're clear (steady sales-wise) to at least BP #35, I think. All praise be to the Panther God. ![]() Yo, I'm Serious | |||||||
