One thing I've really missed in the recent issues of BP and FF was a really coordinated powerful combination of Ororo and T'Challa's abilities. Even with the good depiction they received in battle with Galactus' heralds, I wished the action depicted their interactions more.

Of course, I'm a little biased because these characters inspired me so much over the years.

If you'd like to see what I mean about the possibilities of combining my favorite comics' couples abilities, consider my novel (Communion). More info attached below.

“If hip hop should die before I wake / I’ll load an extended clip and spray them all day / I’d roll to every station and smoke the dj / roll to every station and smoke the dj”
Nas, “Hip Hop is Dead” (2006)

Suppose Nasir Jones possessed mystical power over the entire visual spectrum of light. Suppose all of the challenges he faced, all of the opportunities he missed as a young man, forged him into a living symbol of the knowledge and optimism within humanity. Violence would not be his metaphor to express the frustration of nation with the corruption of an art form. Instead, his words and actions would amplify the spirituality and courage of all humanity in a confrontation with forces of darkness seemingly without number.

Danzuro Ka – the lead character in Walter Greason’s novel, Communion – is precisely this interpretation of Nas, given fantastic form. Tragic, transcendent, brilliant, and dangerous, Danzuro’s journey of redemption and healing reveals a path for all young men who face difficult decisions in a real world with too many temptations.

Communion is available online through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Borders. It is also sold at Comics and More (King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, and Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania) as well as Humungo Comics (Pottstown, Pennsylvania).
