I was so excited about Black Panther coming into homes everywhere a few days ago. I'm still excited, but I'm very disappointed by a lot of the fan response here. I've never posted on the BP message board before (I usually hang out on the battle board), but this was the first place I came when I read the news.

I certainly don't want to take away from anyone's opinion -- for me, I want America to know T'Challa like they know Steve Rogers or Logan. Although I don't fully agree on Hudlin's interpretation on the Panther, I give him major props for pushing a character he loves and getting him major exposure. Somebody, somewhere sees value in what he's doing and is willing to invest major cash into it. I came to grips a little while ago that there is a younger audience out there that loves Hudlin's Panther like I loved Stan Lee's (and Priest's for that matter). And that audience wields a lot of buying power. As long as the heart of who the character is has not been compromised, I'm all for it.

Take care,
