Big art and big story can be good but here there continued to be bothersome title concern...

HULK 20

Its really hard to appreciate the Red Hulk narration with no sense of his identity. Mystery identities are all well and good but as the lead character in a title it is still too hard to empathize with an unknown.

Plus not really a fan of a evil lead characters with little to no redeeming traits. The presentation would have to be done much more engaging.

The nod to the Beast/Cyke rift and Tony Stark Vegetable Man would normally be a very appreciated reference in place of actual footnote placement. However, this title since Day 1 has seemingly taken too many MU616 canon liberties to make it feel as part of the shared universe beyond the Hulk titles. For example the Wakanda state of affairs does not feel as current [for example no Shuri] and a joker like Red Ghost getting past Wakandan security and helping so easily take down Doom and T'Challa seems to minimalize/contradict Doomwar which holds more of my interest comparitively.

All that said, it was still a solid effort with significant things happening particulary involving the Black Panther. And Storm looks lovely. It's refreshing to see her adventure in different clothes given her not really with the Xmen status too.

Plus the Intelligencia truly respects T'Challa's intellect and that is worth noting at the BPMB. Unfortunately their easy access to Wakanda and no defenses shown to take down Red Hulk kinda contradicted this.

Poor Mikhlo. \:\( To suffer the same gruesome fate as that gamma-dog from the HULK movie.

It was neat to see Liddleville again. Look forward to see how that plays out with BP running around as a tiny puppet piece. The reading order from this point forward seems pretty straight forward here...

Did you get/like this? Are you going to follow T'Challa and Ororo to the end of The Fall?
