A+X #3 ![]() Preview: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=14564 ![]() Funny review: http://acomicbookblog.com/2012/12/a-plus-x-3-review/ Gonna agree with the Hawkeye/Gambit praise. But disagree with the BP/Ro displeasure. The Black Panther and Storm 'team-up' was character piece fun - and offers more satisfying closure to their divorce - even if it's not my (go their own) direction choice. The art was vibrant and in once-in-awhile-small-doses a lack of any shadow on the BP suit can be refreshing (once in awhile - didn't Byrne do the same in one his classic FF run issues?). Plus, the detail with native scenery and tech and school and courtwear was creative fun. Their married relationship was always playful so it seemed fitting their parting would be amicable as opposed to the shocking abruptness of their divorce (poorly) presented during AvX. This way, if a writer (shockingly) wants to put them in a story together again they can be mature superheroes on the job and not cliche bickering divorcees. [Apparently not that Storm will be fighting alongside, or as one of http://24.media.tumblr.com/1e75f680a6d61d0a4bd58527d654c31f/tumblr_meqqfcVMCE1raudpao1_1280.jpg, the Avengers anytime soon.] Anyways, not a fan of the recyclable AIM but at least here they offered a reason (contested or not) that they could breach the legendary Wakanda perimeter. Plus, it's just good to finally get a spotlight story on T'Challa again finally - can't wait to see how he is handled in New Avengers! Comments? (Even comment on the backup story as comparison/compliment if you like?) ![]() I miss my dad. | |||
