BLACK PANTHER FANS: Today I was contacted back from and in communication with the Marvel Collections Department about the upcoming 'Black Panther by Christopher Priest: The Complete Collection' trades and the extra file materials I can share with them. The first volume is out in August and collects Black Panther # 1-17 and so far they only asked for a file of Sal Velluto's pencils since we only did five of those issues. The second volume with issue #18-35 w/ Deadpool#44 is shipping in December and it and the third volume (#36-49) for 2016 will have much more prelims, design files, pencil files, unpublished art and a text piece/intro that I had submitted to Panini Comics for their French-language editions a few years ago. This time it will be translated in English and edited by me for the second volume. I am really looking forward to this 4-edition collection of the Priest 62-issue run (1998-2003) being added to my shelf since Sal & I were fortunate to work with Priest on the longest running series ever published to date with Black Panther and were the longest running art team on the title and handled all three of T'Challa's traditional key rogues (Klaw, Killmonger and M'Baku the Man-ape). I know other BP fans have also anticipated this one for quite some time.

Hi Bob!

Great to see you hear again on the BP message board after so many years! And what great news to boot! That is EXTREMELY exciting news that Marvel is finally going to collect Priest's amazing BP run.

Do you have any info on format? Hardcover, softcover? Paper quality etc? I ask because the short trade paperbacks from a few years ago were kind of disappointing if you held them up to the actual comic. The main problem was the coloring was washed out compared to the comic books.

Anyway, this is really something to look forward to. Also, hope you are well in health and life!

Best of wishes, Sir!
