First off well done Def - good, well run tourny which forced us to use unexplored pics, congrats!

This is based on someone else's prior tourny. Can't remember who, sorry.

Points based - 20 points. Full Stop!

Herald - 12 points

PM - 10 points

EM - 8 points

Meta - 4 points

Street - 2 points

2 hours prep - 2 points

12 hours prep - 4 points

2 points - Average lab or workshop (nothing above a university lab or police armoury)

6 points - Specialised Lab (no artificts) FF4 plaza, Dr Strange's sanctioum.

Crossover knowledge counts.

2 points - Some understanding (rough powers, no knowledge of levels or weakness)

4 points - Good understanding of power levels and abilities

Items

Ebony blade - 4 points
Infinity Gauntlet - 21 points
GL Ring - 8 points
Infinity Gems - 8 points each

Twist - AFTER drafting two posters will be joined. eg

Cyclops (4), Beast (4), Average Lab (2), Some Understanding (2), Power Gem (8)

I think it's better with IGems left out. And how are they the same as a EM in points??? To much problems with added gems IMO, basically whoever get's them wins. that;s no fun...

Also you might want to add another 5-10 points 20 seems really low...
Also after you have 16 maybe people can choose who to team up with, unless that's too much advantage somehow...

I'm of the opinion that it would normally take 2 streets to beat a Meta, 2 meta's to beat an enhanced meta, 2 enhanced meta's to beat a prime meta and 2 prime meta's to beat a Herald.

So something like:
Street = 2
Meta = 3
EM = 5
PM = 9
H = 17

That way, it always takes roughly 2 of the category below to defeat someone in the category above them. Obviously, you have exceptions like Conan who's a street that can beat the occasional EM, but that's the case with all categories. But at least in this way, it would take roughly 2 average medium level characters in one slot to defeat the average medium level character in the slot above them.

2 Streets = 4 points which beats one Meta.
2 Metas = 6 points which beats one EM.
2 EM's = 10 points which beats one PM.
2 PM's = 18 points which beats one H.

Then if you extended the point allowances from a max of 20 to a slightly higher figure (maybe 25), then you could allow for drafting Prep locations and drafting for knowledge. Items like the Infinity Gems I would seriously ban, because in tourney's past, some voters simply auto-win someone with an Infinity Gem, and by the time you get to the semifinals, you can rest assured all you have left is teams with the Infinity Gems. Just a couple thoughts is all.
