Subject: ZUES and ODIN are more powerful than MOLECULEMAN and Stranger? Posted Sun Dec 27, 2009 at 10:46:27 pm EST (Viewed 187 times) |

I know the Stranger has had some low end showings but whenever the Cosmics gathered we always saw him grouped with the likes of Galactus, Kronos, grandmaster and the Watcher. I think it's safe to assume these types were his peers...but maybe I'm wrong. In the "What if" (I know I know) with Korvac he's tossing around Planets... I just dont see Zues being able to rub shoulders with the aforementioned entities..Odin Maybe... Molecule Man- Isn't he at least as powerful as a sentient fully formed cosmic cube? On the high end wasn't he capable of tossing Celestials around? I would think he is easily on another level.

As he was presented post Secret Wars II, Molecule Man's powers were above the Celestials. Then he was retconned to be part of a Cosmic Cube. And Cosmic Cubes have now been presented as being below Celestials.

None of his appearances quite say Zeus/Odin level to me any more than The Grandmaster or Watchers are for example, though they themselves are frequently even more contradictory than The Stranger is. I would think he is easily on another level.I can't say how powerful Reece is potentially as the likes of Zeus/Odin/Celestials can traditionally control their own physical being and can likely resist his power, if only in a similar way to Sentry. I think Molecule Man could be more powerful than the majority of cosmics technically but he is still mortal and is not as invulnerabe as a Herald or skyfather or indeed any other Cosmic. He still thinks on a human level and has human weaknesses which is a large barrier to overcome. ![]() ![]() ![]()

and i do not think that Stranger quite measure up, for most of his appearances, despite showing up with the other cosmic characters. It is more of a pedigree issue than measure of power. Stranger has had more problems with Surfer and Thor, than Pluto/Hades necessarily had. And Zeus was always more powerful than he was, save the Ares mini, where for some reason, Zeus was weakened.

Generally though I'd put Stranger and MM above Odin and Zeus.

The Ares mini? The one story where Zeus is clearly mentioned as weaker than ever before? So far Strange has done very little to cement such a place.

With just a thought, Molecule Man can erase people from existence and then bring them back. Skyfathers can't erase or create people on a whim.
