Bearing in mind what Maggedon was, would it be fundamentally more powerful than Imperiex? The Ideal Weapon to stop him in fact?

You could look at it that way, which would place Mageddon at Skyfather level.

Or you could use Yuga Khan and Gog as the measuring sticks, and Mageddon is serious business. Yuga Khan's probably Imperiex level or close to it and he's merely a New god.

Either is valid. Like I've said before, showings can contradict one another and it's all fictional.

As much as I love Yuga Khan and respect him, I don't see the guy as Imperiex prime powerful. Imperiex seemed to be more a force of nature than someone who wanted to tame it.
