Subj: Is Ultimate Thor now a force to be reckoned with? New Ultimates #5 Spoilers
Posted: Thu Feb 03, 2011 at 04:18:40 pm EST (Viewed 146 times)

In New Ultimates #5 we see Thor cut lose and fairly easily handle everything thrown at him. Captain America and Hawkeye are not a serious threat. Iron Man's "Hulkbuster" armor is torn to shreds in short order. The only one that was able to put up anything of a fight was Zarda and Thor dominated that. Either Captain America or Hawkeye said fighting Thor in an enraged stated was the same as fighting the Hulk and the only reason they beat him before was he wasn't trying to kill them.

Now, Ultimate Thor has long been somewhat of a joke fighting wise. Everyone talks about how tough he is, he swings his hammer a bit, throws some lighting around, gets knocked out, than goes home after collecting his paycheck. For all the talk about being one of the most powerful being on the planet he got his butt kicked bad in almost every instance. But he was able to beat Zarda who beat the Hulk.

So, do you think Ultimate Thor will now be a true force to be reckoned with or will we go back to the ole "take a dive and collect your paycheck" routine?
