Re: Storm showing in STORM #8...
Flying with captive in tow, Storm has a tricky time evading 5 FBI missle-launching copters. She rides atop a maneuverable tornado the whole time. She is right about the detail for calling them idiots BUT neglects to add how dumb it is to use tear gas in (controllable) winds.
She generates lightning around them as cover fire to get away from them. Obviously VERY careful not to engulf any copters.
She apparently flies from Louisiana to San Francisco over a 'short' amount of time and evidentally dropped the captive(Senator) off at some point so that he could later 'escape' to Aruba.
She generates an air bubble around herself to submerge to the bottom of the bay (at Utopia ruins) and also navigate the waters. She simultaneously generates a reverse-whirlpool of power to lift her foe's the personal subship to the surface.
She simultaneously barrages the cyborg Harmon, atop his floating wreck, with water, wind, and lightning bolts. Clearly she wants to ONLY subdue him so her attack is woefully ineffective, if not shortsighted too.
She must use her innate control over the environment to survie mid-explosion of the subship and save Harmon in the process.
THEN, flying on the wind with Harmon in chokehold, she manages to PART THE OZONE LAYER to allow enough direct/unfiltered sunlight instantly evaporate a humongous tidal wave that is about to destroy the Golden Gate bridge! She makes it look casual - and certainly NO humans fry to a crisp.
(Meanwhile in the X-Women title Ro's essentially 'stuck in a well'.)
Uhhh... is this tireless showing a power up? A plot device showing? Or just par for the course?
I miss Dad and Dan.
