Not sure what's happened to LGDB, but I thought I'd do the vote count from the quarter-final matches so we can make some progress while he's away. I've listed all the votes from those matches below; feel free to double-check the numbers.

So far as I know, Joe Fixit hasn't claimed any Spoils of War for his first team yet, and still has three points banked for his second team, so he's free to spend those points now, or bank some/all of them for the next round. Neph and I are done with our Spoils.

I'm unclear on whether we're allowed to reassign our existing items again, as we were in the previous round. We should probably park that issue for the time being, till we get Joe's Spoils of War out of the way.

Bracket A: Joe Fixit (2) VS Rehzon

Votes for Joe Fixit (2): The Nephilim, MysteryMan, Happy Hogan, Ragnarok
Votes for Rehzon*: Knight, The Shuruku Demon, Thorion

Joe Fixit (2) wins 4-3

*1stVanguard and motifian also voted for Rehzon, but they did so after the September 1st deadline LGDB set.

Bracket B: The Nephilim VS Ragnarok

Votes for The Nephilim: Rehzon, MysteryMan, The Shuruku Demon, Joe Fixit, Thorion
Votes for Ragnarok:

The Nephilim wins 5-0

Bracket A: Knight VS Shuruku Demon

Votes for Knight: Joe Fixit
Votes for The Shuruku Demon: MysteryMan, Bk Ray, The Nephilim, Ragnarok

The Shuruku Demon wins 4-1

Bracket B: Joe Fixit (1) VS Exes (2)

Votes for Joe Fixit (1): MysteryMan, Knight, Ragnarok
Votes for Exes (2): Rehzon, Thorion

Joe Fixit (1) wins 3-2

This is what I'm looking at right now, but before I finalize, are we allowed to shuffle items around?

In addition to the T-Spheres and Ebony Blade, I'll also give Dark Claw a Legion Flight Ring --3, Brainiac 5's Forcefield belt--7, Gingold Vile--4 and a Star Fleet Phaser--1.

I sent LGDB a PM 2-3 weeks ago asking whether we could or not, but he apparently hasn't visited the board since then. In his absence, I think the best way to go is for you, Neph and I (as the remaining participants) to decide this amongst ourselves. So if you want to change a few things, I'm happy to go with that.

All good. Nephilim hasn't responded yet, so let's allow until Sunday Night 21:00 EST for all three of us to finalise our set-ups. I'll then look to post the semi-final matches the following evening, or shortly after that, depending on any circumstances that come up between now and then. The match-ups are already set, since there are only two teams left in each bracket. I just need to find someone neutral to determine the battlefields. I'll try sending Ragnarok a PM, or maybe Bootch if Rags isn't around.

If you cannot manage to contact Rags or Bootch, I volunteer for that job SD. \^_\^

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?

The Shuruku Demon

Here are the semi-final match-ups in full, with the current item assignments (including Joe's Spoils of War picks) accounted for.

Joe has until 21:00 EST on Sunday to change his Spoils of War picks if he wants, and all three of us who're still in the tournament (Joe, Neph and I) can reassign our existing items before that time, but any changes must be posted in this thread, and clearly signposted in the subject line. Any changes must also conform to LGDB's rules, of course (i.e. Category 5 items can only be wielded by Streets, etc).

I plan to post the actual matches on Monday, as a separate thread. To anyone who intends to vote, please wait until a day or two after before doing so, to give the participants time to post their write-ups. I'm pencilling in 21:00 EST on Thursday the 5th of October as the voting deadline, so you'll have about ten days in total to cast your votes. Thanks.
