Very difficult to judge.

I would consider Vision more 'naturally' powerful (at least original versions).

However, Toni should know how Vision works (to some extent) and has also all the resources of his armor. Ironman is also faster in moving speed than Vision. All this means that Ironman is a real bad matchup for Vision.

So, final verdict: 6/10 for Ironman

Ironman has always been more powerful and versatile than the Vision.

If the Vision is intangible will Stark be able to use technopathy? Im not too sure but making the parallel with someone like Kitty Pryde; when she is intangible isnt she immune to telepathy and/telepathic detection? So if Iron Man cant hit or control the Vision then he loses. The Visions powers of disruption are amazing [He has done it to people like the Juggernaut and Hyperion to great effect] and i dont see Iron Man's armour or his flesh holding out against it at all.

In the 70s and 80s, I would say Vision (given more respect back then) was a favourite.. but nowadays, Iron Man has been given more priority by Marvel due the success of his movies.. In comicbook world, Tony has continued to upgrade his armour and he has a very good idea on how Viz operates and the nature of his powers.. Unless Viz attacked Stark first in a surprise move, I would say Tony takes this all the time...

That’s incorrect. Vision was demonstrably more powerful than Iron Man for many, many years. At maximum density Vision was stronger and more durable. His thermoscopic beams were more effective against heavy hitters than Tony’s repulsors. Of course those comparisons were made in the team book. In his own, Tony could often dial it up to 11, like when he punched out Hulk. Even then, Vision took out a Graviton that Thor couldn’t match.

It’s actually interesting how Tony’s evolution tracks societal advancement, while Vision’s remained static. So for the last 10 years or so, certainly since the movies, as others say it’d be Tony for the win.

At maximum density, Vision is a bona fide top tier in strength and durability.

Nope you are incorrect. Iron, man when maxing out the suit has always been stronger than vision at maximum density. Marvel backs this up by placing Ironman at the top tier "super heavy weight" :

and vision a tier below

And his heat beams most definitely were not more powerful than repulsors.

The feat against nefaria was with t he assist of Gravity not his own offensive  power cover sly Ironman didn't need that when he clocked the Hulk.

Nope Ironman was  always  historically referred as the second most powerful Avenger when Vision was with he team.

I remember him in the 70's in diamond hard form going toe to toe with Wonder Man who back then was treated like a top tier and used to brag about "My fists hit as hard as Thor's hammer."

Are you sure that ranking isn't showing Vision at his standard density?  His strength goes up along with his density to top tier when he is diamond hard.

Visions himself says at maximum density he packs a wallop....yet he still gets placed a tier below.

Just like the Thing or Sasquatch could go toe to toe. Just like Ironman has done. But still he's half a tier below. Doesn't mean he cant hang. When you are class 90 you can hang with a class 100...

Stupid but true, Venom: death trap the vault. Tony likely knows this, if he has sonics on him, Viz is out!

Tony should win this, Iron Man seriously doesn't get the respect he deserves. Iron Man has for decades gone toe to toe with some of the strongest beings and held his own. He has some awesome strength feats. which just get better and better with each armor improvement and is the only hero who should logically get more powerful with each iteration.

He is clearly in the class 100 strength, probably at the entry point but still in it. He's obviously not as strong as Thor or Hercules but I would put him around Ben or Colossus range. He has impressive EP and excellent durability, he just suffers the same syndrome as Thor when it comes to strength showings, he can do so much more then just lift heavy objects that it doesn't become a priority for writers and artists.

Back then he was class 85 non boosted. Boosted well into the class 100 range. Vision max Boosted was class 90.

Right and like spiderman he only uses the amount of strength required even unboosted he's insanely strong.

Everyone is beneath Hulk and Thor, thats not really saying much. Although Ironman was able to KO Hulk... I guess you could say vision was a peer ...until Ironman decides to get serious.

Do you have proof that Iron Man is Class 100 in strength?
