Subj: Immortal She-Hulk one-shot
Posted: Wed Sep 23, 2020 at 11:54:17 am EDT (Viewed 149 times)

It retcons She-Hulk's past, and she died three times, MAYBE, four (I think she died in that Avengers vol. 3 #68, when she destroyed the Vision... she was turned into skin and bones and hulked out fine):

1. When she got her powers. She was shot dead as Jennifer Walters. Banner gave her a blood transfusion. She meets the One Below All, who says she bears his mark. She goes to the green door and comes back as the She-Hulk.

2. When she fought Thanos. She meets Brian Banner, and, after passing the green door, comes back as the grey Savage She-Hulk.

3. During Empyre. They tell her off panel death. She was killed by tendrils made of "centaurian ironwood, stronger than a battleship's hull, and blessed by our Messiah". She-Hulk remarked she had a second to feel the tendrils tearing into her brain. This time, she met the Leader, who told her he changed the locks of the green door, which made him decide whether the green door stayed open or closed. He remarked that he was in a good mood that day, and that, if she stayed there, it'd be complication he didn't need. Then, he told her not to die again (this sets up to the next issue of Immortal Hulk). Jennifer doesn't remember the encounter, but she keeps telling herself she can't die again.

In-between, She-Hulk discusses immortality with Wolverine and Thor.

Wolverine says it's just a "healing factor", and tells her not to look too deep into it.

Thor says that immortality doesn't truly exist, and cites how he killed Galactus, who was supposed to be immortal.
