I've used Windows 98se for a long time, and just got a computer that has XP.

I've noticed that pictures on web pages seem to take longer loading when using my ISP's browser, and with Internet Explorer (just upgraded to version 7), some pictures just won't load at all. (Others will finally load if I either refresh or do the "control + F5" thing.)

Anyone know if I might have done something wrong to create the problem, or is there something I'm failing to do that would correct it?

I've also noticed that here on, the readout at the bottom of my posts says I'm using Windows NT, rather than XP. Is it possible the guy who sold me the computer used some sort of fake XP software that includes elements of NT? Thanks.
