So the first three OGN's were not in continuity, right? Adam Warlock is not the Living Tribunal and Thanos is not with Mistress Death! I wonder if these new ones will be similar and not cannon? Also, I'd by anything by these two guys! They are too great to ignore!

IMO if it was in continuity it got almost immediately excised from continuity with Secret Wars destroying and recreating the multiverse.

They're in continuity technically. They are just noticeably contradicted by other events. Ewing actually makes a reference to LT being reborn in Ultimates, which is clearly a reference to what Starlin wrote. It can be argued that the LT killed by Order/Chaos is the Warlock/LT.

In Ultimates #11 Thanos says, "Beautiful Death, to whom I once devoted my all. Perhaps somewhere, in the endless halls of being, some aspect of me is at her side..Content at last. Or perhaps THAT story, ended with the incursions." Possibly meaning that if the graphic novels happened, it was before the Secret Wars.
So I think that Ewing is a big continuity person and this is how he fit the OGN's in continuity!

You make good points. It's all a big jumble. Starlin doesn't really read current stuff and when he writes, he has to try and play catch-up. Marvel doesn't really make an effort to keep him abreast. I would say that we probably need to differentiate that which is in-continuity from that which is canon. Starlin's current work tends to be out of sync with continuity, but is officially canon.

Well I guess the mystery adversary from the future is pretty obvious based on the cover.

I think he's said in interviews there are two Thanoses. The Thanos he uses and the one other writers use. I don't think he intends for his stuff to be in continuity anymore.

I would rather he just stop with Thanos. His last few have been pretty bad with him. Just not good at all. Others have done a better or worse job but time to let it go.

in one of the printed fan letters in a late rissue of the Ultimates, that same question about Walock was asked and the response was that they purposely left it vague but you could interpret that it was Warlock
