I think it's too bad that they haven't come up with a "What if" issue the Children's Crusade. I really would like to see a story where Doom had married Wanda and became Magneto's son in law.

I wonder is Doom closer in age to Wanda or Magnus. At one time I would have said he was around the same age as Magnus but now he's got to be closer in age to Wanda.

Hard to say these days. In the Silver Age, Reed, Ben and Victor were young adults during WWII but that can't be anymore with the sliding timescale. Magneto's entire history is locked into WWII much more because of his being a Holocaust survivor. That does get brought up from time to time. We've seen no mention of Ben or Reed's service in WWII anymore. Doom had probably fled to Tibet but there is that one Roy Thomas story (the Invaders maybe) where he was seen in Europe during WWII. But it's been a while since any writer tried to place them specifically in an era.

My head canon is that Reed, Ben, and Victor are slightly older than Tony Stark, Hank Pym and Bruce Banner. IMO I think in FF #1 they are in their early 40s. The US didn't enter the War until late 1941 and the first troops to go to Europe until early 1942. So by 1961 Ben and Reed could be in their 40s or possibly late 30s depending on when they joined up. It is a bit a shame that their military service doesn't seem to be part of their history anymore. In HR Fantastic Four I think Ben was in Desert Storm as a pilot. Ultimate Ben Grimm was in the military IIRC.

Magneto was turned into an infant at one point so he can still be connected to the Holocaust. So in order for Ben, Reed and Victor to be in 40ish today they'd be a good deal younger chronologically.

They you have to factor in all the time traveling Doom has done recently. He spent some time traveling with Clyde Wyncham AKA Master of Doom. He also time traveled as Rabam Al Alal to head off the incurions. IIRC he spent 20 years doing that, then there's the 8 years spent on Battleworld. So his age is hard to pin down at this point. If you time travel from your present do you return to your era at the same age you were?
