I went on vacation with the wife and kids last Friday so I didn't watch any of my shows last week and I'm still not done with Iron Fist either.

I'll start catching up the best I can.

It looks like I might have dodged a bullet missing the musical episode. \:\)

'A' bullet? We were hit with a hail of them!

The actors all have good voices, and did their best, bless 'em, but the storyline was absolutely dreadful, and the new songs written for the episode were indescribably cringeworthy.

Watch Melissa Benoist's excellent performance of Moon River, then switch off rapidly, would be my advice. It all descends rapidly from there until an o.t.t. final scene that's so sickeningly saccharine it may induce diabetes in you.

I'll watch it, but only because I wouldn't want you guys to feel like I was wimping out.

I feel a bit like Joel or Mike preparing to watch one of the movies Dr. Forrester sends them. I know it's going to hurt and I know it's going to hurt bad.

But, I know from reading some of the comments that you enjoyed it. So there is hope that I might be pleasantly surprised and enjoy it too.

The masochist in me can't wait to watch it. \:\)

I sort of want to skip the musical and watch Abra Kadabra first, but on the other hand I really should suck it up and watch the musical first.

Your therapy will be expensive and take years. There's just no coming back from 'Super Friends'.

Good luck. I hope to see you on the other side.

Don't be delusional!
Take your "medicine" like a man like the rest of us . . .
I made it through the entire episode and I am still (somewhat) normal.

I agree completely Benoist's performance of Moon River was great all the other musical numbers were awful.

I'm glad someone else liked her first song. That's what they should have done...stuck to classic songs.

Yeah I had to mute Barry's proposal song so my neighbors wouldn't wonder what the heck I was watching. That was so bad.

You have to watch it. It's like your burden as an arrowverse fan.

Oh it will. No doubt about that.

Kara does a good version of Moon River. Everything else...can be cringeworthy. Not that any of the voices are bad just the songs are kinda maudlin.

I watched the musical episode and it was awful.

I never even want to think about Dr. Stein singing again.

Melissa singing Moon River was fine the rest was awful.

Then just because I'm a masochist I did my taxes after I watched the show, but I'm getting a refund!

So taxes was a better experience then? That says a lot. \:\)

I know I did. No way am I putting myself through that torture.

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?
