This past Wednesday, I read X-Men #37 from 1967.I recall reading this way back in the Silver Age. The story is called "We, the Jury..." and the X-Men face the Mutant-Master. Art is by Andru and Heck and story is by Roy Thomas. (I always liked the original X-Men and I can still fondly remember reading my brother's copy of X-Men #1).I really liked the four members of the jury - four old foes of the group - the Vanisher, Unus the Untouchable, the Blob, and the Mastermind. My favorite villain of this quartet was the Blob ans I really do not know why. My favorite X-Men was the Angel - I always liked winged heroes. The story and dialogue move along nicely (Roy does a very good job capturing the team spirit without sacrificing the individuality of each teammate) but, sadly for me , the story is continued in the next issue. Looking forward to reading #38.
