The whole issue was exciting times 10..... and each interaction was handled so well, with Jen, with the fake Sentry (I was wondering if that "calming effect would be brought up), and with Rick Jones... but the final double page spread of General Ross was awesome enough for me to forget that Ross has always defeated his own efforts.

Anyone think we might see the Leader or the Abomination?

After everything that has happened, what kind of threat can Ross possibly pose?

Well for one, I hope that little handgun he's waving around is packing rocket powered adamantium rounds... \:\-D

Honestly though, I'm guessing he's got some new-fangled high tech weapons he's been cooking up since the last time we saw him. It's always fun watching the Hulk wade through the army though...

Lots of folks seem to forget that Ross has chalked up his fair share of wins against the Hulk. Don't count the old soldier out yet.

I was responding to the previous posters question aout Leader and Abomination. I also believe that you shouldn't be too quick to count General Ross out as no threat.

The way I established the Hulk, the more he fought, the stronger he got....I assume he'll get worn out, but never the Hulk. Stan Lee(on Hulk vs Superman)

Only the Hulk could have attempted it! Only the Hulk would have been capable of it! Only the Hulk could have done it! Stan Lee TTA #63

I know!! I rarely drop my jaw and give an "oh my god" moment when reading a book, but seeing Ross and the army ready to take on the Hulk gave me goosebumps. WWH is incredible, and it's not even in full swing, yet. August can't come soon enough!!
Now, all I need to be completely happy is Hulk beating the crap out of Sentry "And THIS is for making me sleep on the floor" and Betty Banner showing up, this WILL be the greatest series ever.

Brainstorm: ...seeing this Hulk interact with Ross. Initially, one may think, "oh right, like the army can stop our great Hulk, they always fail." BUT, I think that any possible interaction between Ross and the Hulk, with their 40 years of history, as handled by Pak (whose knowledge of the Hulk's continuity seems massive), is going to make for great drama/storytelling. And, even better, Betty could show up.

And after all this time of not seeing Ross, wasn't it kinda cool seeing his gritty mug again?

Mr. Pak is the PERFECT Hulk writer; congrats to him and the staff for being the creators of the #1 selling comic of June!

What can Ross do that's more effective than Tony Stark's strategy or Reed Richards. I mean they were pretty tricky. Nanites/Napalm, Sentry rays, Super Nova, square blows from the Thing, Black Bolts whisper, The main X-Men Team, Dr. Strange's mental attack, Xavier's mental attack, everything possible has been thrown at this guy. I don't know a whole lot about Ross, but what are some things he's pulled out of his sleeves that suggest he can do the impossible now?
