After years and years of watching the Hulk sink in the rankings of comic sales, sales of Hulk-related comics are now at or near the top of the monthly rankings. And all it took was a writer who understood the character and what so many of old fans wanted - the Hulk smashing everyone. Yeah, the storylines are good, but watching the Hulk put the smashdown on everyone has brought even this old fan back to buying comics. I'm buying after years and years (more than 20 years) of swearing off of the title and Marvel in general. Man, it feels good to see my favorite finally being written correctly, or at least as correctly as I have seen in a long time. I still don't believe that the Hulk should be as easily hurt as he has in the comics, but that still isn't enough to turn me away from his smashing. I can only hope that the "geniuses" at Marvel are realizing what is making sales increase.

Now as to my concern as to the ending of WWH. Didn't Pak mention that the Hulk is the strongest, as long as he stays mad? I think that Hulk will be "depowered" due to losing his anger. It could be from Sentry, it could be from the return of Betty, or it could just be from a spell. And that would really cheapen the story. I want the Hulk to get his revenge, then WWH should stop. And this means smashing all of the ones who stand aginst him.

As to whether this version is the strongest, I don't think he is any stronger than the Savage version from the 70's & 80's. He is definitely not as invunerable, even taking into account the change is the codes over the years. As to whether he is the maddest, have any of you dealt with a temper tantrum from a 3-year old? Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, can make me believe that anyone can get as mad as a 3-year old. But all in all, it's nice to see the Hulk shown where he should be shown - "the strongest one there is."
