Sam Keith, which reminds me, it would be interesting to have Mr. Hyde return for a visit.

"The first ever Hulk comic was a horror comic. The sell wasn't the strength so much as the unstoppability — it's made very clear that nothing can hurt or hinder him."
"His strength was just part of his unstoppable nature – he was more like the bomb than a superhero, and one that might randomly go off against friend or foe alike."  Al Ewing

Loved Adams' work on the Joe Fixit vs. Wendigo in Vegas story. Those were some classic panels!

This was my favorite picture from Bagley and I gave this a 10 when I fist saw it. He drew a great looking Maestro even if it was just that one picture.

For me it’s Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez. He only drew the Hulk once as far as I know, Hulk vs Batman being the only issue, but man do I love his Savage Hulk! His pencils combined with Dick Giordano’s inks = perfection.

The Original Sin Iron Man issue was tolerable only due to his art

Mark seemed to put a lot more effort into his Maestro pics. Wasnt a fan of his art overall but I got no complaints bout his Maestro. Would have liked to see Diggan ger a 2nd year to tell his Maestro story. Would have been better than what we got imo.

Wow those 3 pictures are great. I forgot about those. Thank you for sharing those. I would gladly take Bagley as an artist again for the Maestro. Bagley, Keown, and obviously Perez were ones who got the right look for The Maestro.

Wow I had no idea John Byrne was an artist. I knew he was a writer. I found this picture and it is quite good. I also put the pic as an attachment. Juggernaut looks fantastic and Abomination looks very good and has his blue shorts. The Hulk and everyone looks good.

We know George Perez did Future Imperfect and drew The Maestro so well. Did he ever do any other Hulk issues?

Mike Mignola.
When I think of the Crossroads storyline, I think of all those covers he did.
And while I will always hold Sal Buscema in the highest regard for Hulk artists, the Mignola/Taloac team from #311-313, and what the hey, might as well include Alpha Flight #29, were a breath of fresh air. Fantastic stuff.
