In the original REH Conan stories Concan was presented as a sort of selfish anti-hero who looked out only for himself and occasionally someone close to him. It was only in stories set later in in life or when he became king that he was what we might consider a heroic person.

Of the comics, do any follow that or is he more of a stereotypical barbarian hero?

Also, given how King Conan in some ways was radically different from his younger self do you think that if King Conan were to meet someone like young Conan who had the same selfish tendencies and disrespect for authority King Conan might end up splitting him in two?
