Punisher 219 (2018)
Brutal art and colors.
Brutal thug-looking design of this WAR MACHINE armor. Ugly "leggings". You wish it looked as cool as it does on the covers. The armor height seems to vary in height between panel rendering to get more nitpicky about it.
Brutal "punisher" motivation. Although, it may be typical - haven't read his series regularly for a long time. Bringing the gratuitous slaughter and bloodbath here is very -if not too- cringeworthy.
The use of Nick Fury as supporting character is curious - but wanting. He doesn't even appear. And if those two surveilance goons are his then that's just sad. And if those are SHIELD uniforms - that's just tacky. Plus it would benefit to get more convincing politics behind his motivation. If the Secret Avengers weren't cancelled - can you imagine him doing this invasion of Chernaya?
Vakha channels Russell Crowe's Gladiator in the final scene after a cliche introduction of a persecuted but selfreliant ex-military man with one last shot to fire.
Two jokey moments with the WM armor's (Stark designed?) run-of-the-mill A.I. and we do get to see how Frank dons the armor.
