The only thing I don't like to hear is that Stark has "very little use for magic". We already know that Stark is destined to become a sorcerer at some point in the future, and even if we didn't know that, Stark is the sort of guy who, if he encountered a ghost, would just shrug and start working on ghostbuster technology. I don't buy that he would recoil from any source of knowledge.

If anything, he'd probably be too eager to incorporate new knowledge, and might blow himself up trying to incorporate science and magic into one design. Like I could see him beating some villain, discovering an ancient tome in the villain's lair, reading(after inventing a universal translater)about how inscribing these runes onto your armor makes the armor indestructible, so he does it, and it works: in the next fight he's in, none of the villain's attacks hurt him in the slightest, but then a portal opens up and Chthulu pops out.

Turns out every time something with those runes on it is hit, there is a small random chance that it will open a portal that lets Chthulu into our universe. And, oops, he's been hit hundreds of times since he put those runes on his armor, and that last hit triggered the effect.

I think that's a lot more likely than Stark looking at magic and recoiling at it like magic has cooties.
