Subj: Slott's Iron Man run

With all the 2020 stuff, I'm enjoying it, mostly. It's fun to see the old 2020 ideas brought back in IRL 2020. It's fun to see Jocasta & I appreciate Rhodey wrestling with being a superhero.
BUT, I'm kind of dissapointed in Slott's run in general. I feel like this run could have been truly special.
He's addressing themes of sentience, of who deserves rights and who doesn't, of what life actually is, but I don't feel like he's digging very deep into any of the ideas therein. Maybe the resolution of the story arc will surprise me, but at this point I kind of doubt it. The themes have been threaded throughout from issue one, but the conflicts are very surface level.
