Can I get a hell yeah to BC getting chairman reigns? I think it's great and well-deserved. I also like Roy/Kendra which provides a nice reverse to Ollie/Katar. I know others have been disappointed, but I'm on board. Perfect blend of nostalgia and modern (and nice use of HQ).

For some reason making Canary chairperson of the League seemed a bit anticlimactic/calculated after the Powergirl as chairperson for the JSA reveal in the same month. I do like the idea of Black Canary as leader better than Powergirl though. She has the experience and the character growth (thanks to the time in Birds of Prey) and has been shown to think things through as a team player whereas Powergirl often seems to let her emotions lead her.

The Roy/Kendra thing just doesn't work for me because I see Hawkgirl still being more or less the wife of Hawkman, even if they aren't there yet. If anything, making him chase after the first sexy girl he can just makes him superficially like the way Ollie has been portrayed over the past couple of years. Don't really care for the "Red Arrow" name, it just sounds lame to my ears, like the only thing that could be come up with after 3 minutes of thinking. I hope we'll see more to him than just being a reflection of Green Arrow, but so far, his name choice, costume and womanizing, everything about him has centered on Green Arrow even when they are trying to say they are distancing him from Green Arrow. Do, don't say. If you say it, you're just calling attention to the Green Arrow relationship all over again.

I did like the melding of the various cartoon headquarters. And am interested in where the Geoforce sub plot is going. Always liked the Outsiders (as in Batman And...) and it's good seeing them actually getting used in some serious capacity than being written off as cannon fodder.

The following are some highlight from Justice League of America #7 as the issue is more of a tour and getting to know you type of issue. This may make it sound like a boring issue, but I actually thought that is was one of the better issues and an enjoyable read.

-The team member in alphabetical order are Batman, Black Canary, Black Lightning, Green Lantern (Hal), Hawkgirl, Red Arrow, Red Tornado, Superman, Vixen and Wonder Woman.
-Black Canary is the Chairperson for the League.
-The new headquarters looks like the Hall of Justice from the Super Friends TV Series.
-The new headquarters has a trophy room with artifacts from previous JLA adventures. The weapons displayed have all been made non-functioning by Batman. Oh look, there is Skeets on display.
-The new training room call “the Kitchen” is on a satellite that looks like the satellite from Justice League Unlimited.
“If you can’t stand the heat…” Wonder Woman
-Roy has officially taken the name of Red Arrow.
-Roy and Hawkgirl do some flirting.
-Geoforce is gaining Terra’s powers and he does not know why.
-Trident is identified as being from the 31st Century and seems to be Karate Kid from the Legion of Superheros

The book also includes a nice tri-fold picture of the League in front of pictures from previous Leagues.

Thanks MazingMan

It's actually pretty cool...the meeting room, armory, trophy room, etc. is in Washington D.C. on the site of the former headquarters of the JSA and the All-Star Squadron. It looks like the Hall of Justice from Super-Friends.

Then you walk through a door, and end up transported to a satellite, which is where the training facilities are.

I actually think its a pretty neat idea

The satellite, BTW, basically looks like the HQ in JLU.

A lil' of the old, a lil' of the new....

Here are the two Headquarters.

I really don't have an opinion on this right now. I would have preferred Superman or Wonder Woman as the 1st chairman of this new League.

I am quite intrigued by this.

I've liked the series so far despite Meltzer's dragging on of the story and the ultra-violent "end" of Solomon Grundy and beat down of the Red Tornado.

Agreed. Said some nice things about #7 and asked some questions but either hit post wrong or forgot SPOILERS. IIRC, the nice stuff was included the art, the Roy scenes, the team dynamic set up(including photo by Snapper). IIRC, the questions included:

Last appearance of Caulder? Starro? Trident? and Terra (II?)?
Is Bats still miffed at Hal for Parallax ordeal?
Does BC seem to be NOT in on the Hal/Ollie gift secret?
Why did Supes burn the photos?
Name the items in trophy museum?

Not sold on the idea of BC as chairman. It just doesn't seem to bright when you have Superman & Batman on the same team. I'm just wondering who's going to replace Meltzer on JLA after issue 13, hopefully its Morrison, Giffen, or Johns

I thought Meltzer was leaving after his 13th issue, that would be issue #12 since he wrote issue #0. If Morrison or Giffen takes over, I won't stick around. I'd like to see what Johns could do on JLA.

Actually you labeled the post with "spoilers", yet you didn't have any spoilers in your post. A spoiler tag lets people know that the post contains spoilers and let's them decide if they should read the post or not or wait to read their copy of the comic first. By mis-labeling a post, you now may have "scared away" the person that could have answered your questions.

The All-Star Squadron's headquarters were in the Trylon and Perisphere on the grounds of the NY World's Fair grounds. When did they have headquarters in Washington DC?
