Firstly, is this the place to discuss the Hawkgirl comic series? She is in the JLA afterall.
Secondly, just how awesome was this issue?! Admittedly I bought #50 and dropped the book. Since reading that the series ends at #67 though, and after thoroughly enjoying #62, I'm going to see the rest of the series out.
It's just THAT much fun.
I recommend you have a read of it.
Fun stuff.
Abe.

Good question.

First and foremost this is the Justice League of America Message Board, which is dedicated to the various incarnations of the JLA from 1960 through today. Regarding posts about JLA members in non-JLA appearances, those are fine here provided that Comicboards does not already have a message board for them. For example: Posts about the HAWKGIRL and BLACK CANARY series are ok. Posts about the WONDER WOMAN, SUPERMAN, BATMAN, and GREEN LANTERN series are not, unless the specific issue is directly JLA related (JLA appearance, story continues from or into JLA). We don't want to steal traffic from those other fine message boards. This includes past members and their comic book series and appearances.

Thanks for the reply Scott.
In response, I noticed that Walter Simonson worked on this book, all the way until it's final issue.
This relates back to a question that was asked on the Golden Age Message Board (not to steal it's traffic, here, of course). I love the Golden Age Message Board, and view it often. Sometimes TOO often (at work). \:\)
That being written Scott, did you read Hawkgirl #62? If so, I'd love to know what you thought of it.
Kind regards,
Abe.

HAWKGIRL has been cancelled? I didn't know that.

I didn't read it. I read the first 2-3 issues of the new HAWKMAN series and didn't care for it. When Howard Chaykin and Walt Simonson came on board for the HAWKGIRL revamp I was going to try it but I didn't want to drop any of the other titles I was buying just to try it.

Yeah, I think it's #67 which is it's last issue.
And I think it's due to low-sales.

I'd read all the Hawkman issues, and only the first issue of Hawkgirl. It was okay, but there were other comics that I wanted to try.
I noticed last night that the Hawkgirl Trade comes out for the first two issues. I think I'll be given it a try.
Regards,
Abe.

I hadn't heard this even, but I'm not surprised. I truly hated the opening arc, and stuck around only for the return of Hawkman, which was solicited right at the time I was planning to drop it. Here's hoping DC relaunches the right Hawk...

I loved the late Hawkman series, although Palmiotti and Gray's opening arc was a little off for me.

I got my information from www.newsarama.com/ when they did their updates solicitions for the new month (sorry, I forget which month).
They state that the last issue is #67.
That being written, I'll stick with it to see how it all goes down.
