Despite being somewhat bored by the initial storyline, I find myself genuinely excited reading the JLofA-JSofA crossover. There have been clunky scenes aplenty in this somewhat plodding storyline, but all in all it's had enough genuine surprises to keep my interested. There's a neat twist at least once an issue and that's not a bad ratio given the majority of modern comics. \:\-\)

I do wish they'd developed a uniform cover design for the crossover. The Michael Turner covers aren't my favorites, but at least they reflect the story inside. The Alex Ross posters are nice, but they have nothing to do with what's going on. Seems a missed opportunity to attract new readers, or merely an admission that almost no one buys comics based on covers anymore who wasn't going to buy it already. :-/
