What if it was actually Bart in the wand? I know that when he died he was depowered, but the Black Flash was there for him...what if the wand somehow gathered his spirit from the Black Flash in the moment of his death? Age-wise he fits into the Legion, he's from their era-ish, he has connections to A Legion through XS, and we have creator comments suggesting that his story isn't over yet. What if it his spirit that we see in the wand?

I like this idea. Barry should stay dead--someone has too \(\!\) and his death was pure heroic triumph. Let it be Bart. Let it be Bart!

Sorry but I think Bart is just plain....dead. (Now that is a relative term in thecomic book world.)

I actually think this idea makes the most sense given that Bart was from that century to begin with!
I can't swallow the Barry theory as it makes little sense to resurrect him at this point, granted though I can't fully explain why the Legion chose the spots (Barry's old haunts) they did... on second thought - they're all Wally haunts though aren't they?! All significant points in his life more or less...

It's either going to be Bart or Kon as i can't think of anyone else who makes sense!

I like your theory and it may end up being correct. However the only reason that I think it is/was Barry (and I hope not) is that I read an interview with the JLA/JSA crossover writers and they state that they had no idea what was going on in the Flash title and that Bart being killed off was as much as a surprise to them as it was to the readers. If this is true then they wouldn't have had Bart's spirit to "capture" , let alone have knowledge of it being "available".
Again, this may work out for future Legion/Flash writers to change to suit them, but I don't think that is how it was originally planned.

Or what about...Walter West? Max Mercury or Rival could also be possibilties, as last I knew they were in the Speed Force

was it WAS bart in the rod at the end. I thought maybe Bart became the sacrice needed, thus saving KK at the last second.

Then I read the message boards and felt dumb....lol
