I don't get how the events in this issue happened. Didn't we last see Zod and Co. getting sucked into a black hole in S:TAS? Has that been retconned?

> How could General Zod and Co. be in this, if they were sucked into a black hole in S:TAS? Are they retconning this ep now?

The "animated" DC titles don't follow the strict continuity of the Dini/Timm/Burnett DC animated television series. And Zod never appeared on "Superman: the Animated Series".

Then who, and what show, am I thinking of with evil Kryptonians getting sucked into a black hole?

Perhaps you are thinking of the S:TAS episodes "Blasts from the Past" part one and two which featured the Phantom Zone villains Jax-Ur and Mala. They were sent back to the Phantom Zone at the end of the 2-parter. Jax-Ur behaved very much like General Zod. Maybe that's why you are confused.

I recall the Kryptonians in question getting sent back, then escaping in a later ep, and then finally getting painfully sucked into a black hole (swirlying into it as they go). This ep also talked about how they can operate in space, but still need to breathe oxygen. Same for Superman. I'm positive I saw this.

I just did a search on tv.com , and I think the episode is "Absolute Power". It doesn't have a full-recap, BUT it IS the final evil-Krytonians ep (you were right, Zod wasn't there, it was other guys), so it has to be it. Am I right?

Thanks for clearing that other stuff up!

The episode you're thinking of had Jax-Ur and Mala taking over a planet, and Superman saving the denizens of said planet.

And the black hole-thing also happened, right?

I think it did. Sounds like how they "got away".

I think it was meant as a "death", or at least a situation that they couldn't come back from. They were also screaming in agony as they got sucked through.
