Doesnt seem to be very many people posting on the board anymore...any reason for this?

If anyone else is feeling like I have about the JLofA lately, then the energy to post about them is singular diminished. I just this past month dropped the whole JLofA line-up from my monthly schedule, and I'll be focusing on the vintage reprints from now on.

The new book has been a disappointment, confusing and needlessly complex, and Classified has been rather dull for some time now. We're getting more JLofA product lately, but less actual entertainment. The ratio of dollars for fun proved too much and I canned the whole lot.

So as I say, if many are feeling as I do, I'm not surprised we're running out of steam to talk about the new stuff. :-/

I'm really enjoying JLA and just don't see the point to speculating any upcoming stories as I'm all tuckered out from the LoSH storyline, and the many theories that sprang from their return. I bet things will pick up again his Wednesday when the new issue is out.

Posts were up when issue #10 was released and we were quite busy for a few days. But things just petered out. Maybe when #11 comes out we'll have another surge of posts. Seems like no one cares about JLU and Classified.

"Probably the most famous speech from the GREEN LANTERN/GREEN ARROW story is the black guy coming up to Green Lantern and saying 'You helped the green guys, you helped the purple guys, you helped the blue guys. What have you done for the black guys?' And my answer would have been, I saved the world 15,000 times, duh. I didn't go out to save the white guys, I saved the world. So get off my back."

The nature of Comic Board is that some board are busier then others (which can sometimes be a shame for us die hard fans). But like Scott said below, usually around the issue release dates there is some activity. And maybe the occasional poster finds a small thing that turns into a huge discussion (usually along the lines of "how can character A knock character B down in one punch? \:\-D ).

I'm glad you're enjoying it. The preview of the new issue just confirms for me that I've made the right call for me. \:\-\)

We don't all run to the store on Wednesdays. I don't go until the weekend, and even then not every weekend. If there's just 1 or 2 comics I want, I'll usually wait until it's worth it to stop by.

Maybe if you followed the thread, you wouldn't be so quick to jump to the conclusion that I think everyone runs to the shops on the day comics arrive. We were discussing how traffic on the board picks up when the new issue comes out, like when #10 came out. My point was that #11 came out and we didn't see any increase in posts. I don't get my new comics until Lone Star ships them to me and that's usually the last week of the month.
