I'm familiar with the core Crime Syndicate:

In Countdown 31, I was entertained by their expansion into the Crime Society.

How many of these villain-heroes are introduced here? Has it been revealed that they were created for the Justice League in particular as the counterparts outnumber the Justice Society ones? Has a counterpart Spectre ever been done before? Donna *love* gave a good showing in this battle against JLA wannabes, eh? And is a crowbar reeeally good enough? ;\)

ps. That banner title works perfect! "Sorry, Ladies! I'm Already Taken!" \:\)

I know they'd increased the Syndikate's membership in one of the Justice League Quarterly books to include dopplegangers of Blue Beetle and a few of the others, but I don't recall who else was in there.

And I'm glad you liked the title, E-man! Scott and Omike got me goin' on that when I started this and the Cartoon Boards! I liked how THEY did it, and ran with the idea! \:\)

Worth mentioning? It's a safe bet that this isn't the Crime Syndicate from Morrison's run, since they still exist in the Antimatter Universe. (DiDio's confirmed this, which I'd wondered since they popped up on this Earth's flash-in in 52 #52.) This is a Crime Society, based on the original JSA. \:\) So it's really all of their first appearances.

I've seen chatter that has everyone assuming the green guy is the Spectre (who according to the law of opposites I think should be a good guy on this Earth). I thought it was this world's versionof Red Tornado.

Yes, i think as well, that it was a version of the Tornado and not the Spectre. Of course being a completist an evil or at least opposite version of the Spectre should also be around. I mean with Eclipso and the Spectre's archenemy Asterroth or whatever his name was, both being his ancestors, it wouldn't be much of a stretch.

In a reverse universe the Spectre could be the one who went wrong with Eclipso being appointed to replace it. Then again as two creatures who have "God's " in their name they might be the same.

Maybe we should call this guy the Green Tornado? The Spectre doesn't have a 'cloud' trail when floating.

Right. Earth-3 appears to be something like "evil Earth-2, if Earth-2 had undergone analogous history for its GA characters."

Anti-matter Earth is "evil Earth-Sigma/Zero," and has its own JSA counterpart, the Crime Lodge.

Or Eclipso still came first, but he was a good guy. Maybe "God" was the evil being who replaced him with a villainous Spectre and imprisoned Eclipso so he couldn't do any good.

That would be kind of amusing. A diamond shard going around possessing evil people and forcing them to do good deeds.

Except it has its variants of Superman, Batman, WW, [b]Martian Manhunter[\b], Red Tornado, etc... making the core team look more like a version of the Clutter Earth JLA, not the Clutter Earth JSA, whereas some of the extended ones are JSA variants and some fit into both. It would only be more like old Earth 2, if this were an elder Ultraman, old Owlman etc...
