There are two books that i just need to vent about. I am really ticked off on how bad the writing is as a whole. One book is JLA. Metzer for was 11 issues did a sub par job on this title. The story arcs were slow and boring, and you just didn't get that feeling about the JLA. This should be the # 1 book out there, but it sure as hell fails in that category. Then McDuffie came on and i really saw potential for great stories and great art, but for the last 2 issues all we got was Crossover issues. I didn't care about issue 16 and I sure as heck didn't care about # 17!

I don't want to pick up a book and keep wondering as to what the heck is going on???!!!

I am pretty sure there's more people on here who have the same feelings towards this book. There's no direction whatsoever! I know i can't blame McDuffie for the writing on # 17 but come on!

When will Geoff Johns come on and save this book?

The other book is Teen Titans. But since this is not the titabs board i won't go into it.

This is a train wreck. I am thinking of just dropping this title.

I sympathise with you. I quit after ish. 16 with the Atom and Flash appearance. It was just an advertisement for another one of those stoopid Countdown mini series. And the heroes were written as being both idiotic and/or insensitive; a cop disappears, they are aware that there is a device that can make people disappear, and they just walk away. I can't see any of those three heroes doing that. So I quit after that issue because as much as I respect McDuffie his writing has been shit. I don't know if it is his fault or instructions from on high that makes him write the way he does, but either way I don't need to drop cash on such a sub-par series.

I actually only read metzers JLA, nothing else. So i have no opinion about IC. His JLA had no direction, his storyarcs took way too long to develop, the way he wrote the whole roster of the JLA made me not care for anyone, anyone at all. Well at first the Red Tornado, but then that was screwed up later down the line.

I didn't enjoy anything about his run,, well I did enjoy the art.

Hope this helps MSL ;\)

The mix of characters.
The decent art and storytelling.
The importance of the DC Universe.
Bonus: The Tangent Connection.

> The mix of characters.

I can agree that the cast is strong.

> The decent art and storytelling.

So you like Ed Benes cheesecake? Half the heroines wearing thongs? Ridiculous poses?

As for story telling, Meltzer didn't exactly rawk my world and McDuffie hasn't lived up to his work on JLU.

> The importance of the DC Universe.

...What?

> Bonus: The Tangent Connection.

But the Tangent Connection was handled poorly. Like Justice League members would leave the dangling mystery of the missing cop like that. John Stewart would not have used his ring to try and track her down? Roy and Diana would not have beat the streets looking for her? Hell, they are there, they would gladly help the cops out! Especially when the green lantern plot device is right there, a glaring clue to her fate! That's shit storytelling.

> The mix of characters.

I like the characters, but so far, they have been handled poorly. There is not one character in this book that has had his personality fleshed out.

> The decent art and storytelling.

The art is very nice i have to agree, but the storytelling? there's no direction, nothing interesting, nothing that jumps out at you and says WOW this story is amazing.

> The importance of the DC Universe.

Huh?

> Bonus: The Tangent Connection.

Don't care! honestly don't.
