Subj: That's a very cool banner! It reminds me of . . .

...that page in an issue of "Animal Man" which shows a full shot of Buddy's face as he says: "I CAN SEE YOU!". Right there, looking at us.
Like the League in the banner, only the League seems to be looking down on us. Buddy was looking at us eye to eye.
