Ive always had a problem with this villan, being able to mimic athers abilities of others just like that, but I got over it. But after reading this issue, Im having a problem with its ablilty to mimic magic. Being an instrument of science, it should not have the ablity to mimic magic at all or be able to guard against it. Has it ever been said how it can mimic magic?

I thought it was weird that Amazo could duplicate Zauriel's angelic powers in Grant Morrison's JLA. It was stated in that story that Amazo had done so, and I've always wondered just how THAT was done. After THAT feat, I doubt Zatanna's magic would provide any sort of challenge to mimic.

Magic is just a manipulation of the local quantum field, and we've seen technomages in comics (magicians who can affect technology) so I don't have an issue with Amazo being able to duplicate magical feats...it's no more or less bizarre than him forming batarangs/mace/arrows/etc out of thin air...
