Aaah, the good old days of the pre-Satellite Era JLA. I loved the classic line-up of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, and Atom. It was too bad they did not add a new member until 1964 when they added Hawkman. If you ask me, Hawkman should have joined in 1963 or Adam Strange could have taken his place. Nowadays, the nine Justice Leaguers seen in #23 can be seen throughout the New 52 universe. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman can still be seen as members of the Justice League, but, sadly, Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) are no longer members and two of them are replaced by their archenemies (if Sinestro joined the team, I would write a letter to DC telling them to remove Lex Luthor, Captain Cold, and Sinestro out and replace them with Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern). However, I'm looking forward to reading the adventures of Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow in Justice League United. I'm glad that both of them (along with Hawkman and Stargirl) are transferring from the Justice League of America to the Justice League of Canada. Yet, I would like to see Ray Palmer as the Atom again. I'm happy that Jeff Lemire is using Mr. Palmer in Future End. I'd be far happier if Mr. Lemire made Mr. Palmer as the Atom and made him the first new recruit for the Justice League of Canada, befriending the likes of Adam Strange (and Alanna), the new First Nations teenager, Green Arrow, Animal Man, Martian Manhunter, Stargirl, Supergirl, and especially Hawkman. I hope you revisit more classic JLA stories, especially during the early days and the Satellite Era.
