Justice League 032 So much for that. This seemed to finally be going back to being a book about the Justice League fun issue last month. Even this month's cover was a fantastic tease given what happened but only superficially relates to this installment. The cover fails 'cuz this ish was all about: THE DOOM PATROL! And that's not to say that because this was a poor JL spotlight it wasn't a fun book again. This was a very entertaining reboot of THE DOOM PATROL and each of it's classic members and the (interesting) Element Woman. Nothing outright new about this New52 DP but the backstory summaries were bundled neatly. There is the nastiness of The Chief (developed some before Flashpoint) that will give the hero team a uniqueness and the detail of Rita having to smile was pretty neat. Advancing the storyline with Lex (and Snart) was very intriguing too - spoiled miserably by the fact that he's already adventuring as a full fledged JL member in other titles. Power Ring was a good part of Forever Evil and this new incarnation's identity revelation and cursed fate was interesting. The JL cameo was weak although the ALLA-KAZAM power showing by Shazam was curious, if not interesting. Great cliffhanger! Let's pray next issue has more JL too! ![]() I miss Dad and Dan. | ||||
