Justice League 037
This was a decent issue as follow up after some contrivance with last ish setting up the status of the lethal virus. [Speaking of: 200 people a year are STILL dying from Smallpox??!] For this chapter, Patient Zero still had to be captured or his blood sample secured to prevent the biological danger getting even worse (if that'spossible). Great artwork as once again!!! Unfortunately there's no fair focus on the lower tier members, yet AGAIN. Only hero spotlight on the Big 3 and Lex. [One month closer to their movie release.] We only are entitled to cameo that same Leaguers are still infirmed - but also hear that Firestorm has been infected (simply for the sake of namedropping). We only get another generic word bubble from Captain Cold while shadowing Luthor. Unfortunately Trevor doesn't return this ish, but in it's stead we get an sympathetic appearance by Lena Luthor delving into her brother's motivation.
As a bonus we get the intro of a new character: BULLET; his showing was wanting though. He was somehow good enough to get to Lex, he offered the weakest of mercenary reasons for his attack, he manages to fire his 'weapon' to easily 'down' (& 'seeemingly' kill) the armoured supergenius.
It would be fair to say the cover is unfairly misleading. Most of the issue is the Big 3 vs Patient Zero. It's pretty good given their foe is an untested case and the battle ends with an effectively (& predictably) dramatic cliffhanger to complicated things.
Did you like it more or less?
I miss Dad and Dan especially during the holidays.
