I just read that Justice League United will be ending in December 2015 with issue #16. The reason why is because Jeff Parker is committed to write Batman '66 Meets The Man From UNCLE. It's kind of a shame to see it go, especially when people are loving the new line-up. Personally, I prefer Jeff Lemire's line-up since it contained characters that classic readers could relate to. I never was a fan of the new JLU, especially the rotating roster. I wonder what's going to happen to Adam Strange and Alanna, Equinox, Animal Man, and Stargirl after the comic is over.

To me, my idea of JLU would be Adam Strange, Equinox, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Animal Man, Martian Manhunter, Stargirl, and Supergirl, with the Atom as a potential addition. Several Silver Age characters fighting together in Canada and worlds unknown. I just hope I can work for DC and revive the team I was excited about. My dream team would still be located in Canada and the line-up be Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Stargirl, Adam Strange (with Alanna in tow), Animal Man, Supergirl, Equinox, Atom, Black Canary, and Starfire.

In the meantime, I'm hoping that the surviving members of the ARGUS based JLA reunite in spite of the JLU break-up. So long, JLU. Here's hoping we bring back Justice League Canada.

I think you pinpointed the problem with the book - the lack of any stability or focus. When this book took over from the Justice League of America book it had a lot to achieve if it was going to overcome reader apathy over the untimely cancellation of JLA, opting to go for a constantly changing line-up with a cast of thousands was never going to make it an accesible or appealing book as there is nothing here to fix onto and no clear reason for this team/book to exist.

So in the last four years Justice League of America was cancelled, Justice League International, now Justice League United, and I have no idea whether Justice League Dark is in any danger... I do hope they leave it with the main Justice Leaague title and Bryan Hitch's new JLA title, clearly any new endeavor hitting the stands is going to be greeted by the audience with great suspicion by now. \:\|

I kind of like the idea of a team that has a kind of "JLA Satellite" feeling of different generations on the same team. Based out of Canada, this would be a UN Sanctioned team that would go anywhere to solve threats to the world. I also like the idea that it evokes the Bronze Age JLA, Justice League Detroit, and Giffen's JLI, but in a new combination that hasn't been tried before.

...and I'd probably make a sort of "JLA Reserves" with the following characters:

- Alpha Centurian- because he's such an interesting "superman-esque" replacement that sort of fills the role of Adam Strange (Man out of Time and Space), but he's a more modern creation so that you could have some interesting and new adventures with him. I'd also make him Ted Kord, the person who takes up the Alpha Centurian mantle after Forever Evil, where he was killed unceremoniously during that battle.

- Bloodywynd - who would be sort of the "Phantom Stranger" role in this new JLA team. He could provide backup for supernatural problems and he is also a handy guy to drop in a MacGuffin in the middle of a storyline. There's also this suspicion that Bloodwynd is really a disguised Martian Manhunter, but nothing is ever confirmed. Bloodwynd is really Dale Gunn, from the Detroit League (pre-Flashpoint) and an old friend of Martian Manhunter.

- Aztek - would be sort of a street-level superhuman. This would also be the identity of Snapper Carr, a former member of the (pre-Flashpoint) Silver Age Justice League.

Add two more to the roster:

Simon Baz
Katana

Since you've mentioned a team of J'onn, Courtney, Carter, Ollie, and Cisco, why not round out the JLU with Simon and Tatsu as well. I can imagine two Japanese members (Katana and Rising Sun). Also, I'd like to see arguments between Simon and Seraph over religion.
