Since it's almost been a year since Infinite Crisis wrapped up, has there really been anything done with PG? I've heard she still rememebers the multiverse (which supposedly still exists), but have he powers been defined? Can she still use Heat Vision or any other super-things like that? I just got part of the SUpergirl issues with her and Kara in Kandor, and afterwords, it seems they can be close together now without the odd effects happening to her powers, so was that ever explained? Just curious because they played her up so much and then it's like they totally dropped her. Please let me know. Thanks

Well, Power Girl does in fact recall being from Earth 2. In JSA #2, she used telescopic and x-ray vision to do a quick recon around JSA headquarters. As far as her powers screwing up around Supergirl, it was theorized by Mr. Terrific in Supergirl #1 that when Supergirl and Power Girl come into physical contact, it's like two magnets with the same polarization...they repel. Power Girl's powers react negatively to it. They never explained why Supergirl's don't.

Since JSA is the only title she is currently in, we may see more on her coming up. Probably will, actually, looking at the previews scenes at the end of JSA #1.

Cool. i was just owndering because like I said, in Supergirl after the Kandor thing, there's a scene where she and PG are fighting over leaving Kandor, and there doesn't seem to be that problem anymore, so I guess either with New Earth being recreated something, she's finally become more gorunded in the reality or some such. Hell, I guess if nothing else, chalk it up to a heaping cupful of Retcon Punch! \:\)

According to 52, she now has the full kryptonian spectrum of powers complete with super and artic breath. And she is powered completely by the yellow sun, like the other kryptonians, making her lose them under a red sun, which doesn't fit with E-2 Kryptonians. Also she is vulnerable to Kryptonite as well.

Either Mark Waid and the editor were sleeping, or IC made her physical identical to the other kryptonians.

Guess we have to wait and see.

Well, when the Earth-2 Superman and Superboy-Prime reappeared during Infinite Crisis, it was said somewhere that DC was making all Kryptonians from all realities more similar as far as powers and origins. And I don't believe that any Kryptonian actually loses his or her powers under a red sun anymore. They simply don't recharge their yellow solar energy stores, so when they use their powers, they simply lose the powers as they use up their solar stores. Superman was shown to have his powers under a red sun during the Return 2 Krypton arc, but lost them as he expended his energy stores. And I beleive that is the same thing that happened to Superman, E-2 Superman, and Superboy-Prime on Mogo at the end of Infinite Crisis.

Yes, but it was also mentioned that red suns do have a depowering effect. I dimly remember something about red sunpowered weapons in RTK2 or Ruin using red sun energy to hold Superman. Red sun energy was also used against him in that JLA tie-in to No Man's Land, i think. Not to mention the TimeLord blasting Superman with red sun plasma(It was the energy Superman tough, and hence didn't work) in JLA/Wildcats or Solaar and Radioactive Man hitting Superman with a red sun/kryptonite sandwitch in JLA/Avengers. Both crossovers being in continuity.

So there are plenty of stories, where it does affect him, just not as fast as in pre-crisis times.
