Well I finally read JSA 3 and I have to say that I am very much enjoying the new Steel character. Looks like he will have powers soon from that metal goo from Riechsmark but then again thats obvious. I for one like the idea of Wilcat's son and think there is room for both characters. Sand seems interesting as well and I read on newsarama that they will be getting into the affects of sleep dep on him. Thats something that I don't believe has been explored yet. I really enjoy the Sandman characters and its nice to see him looking like Wesley Dodds. One thing I did not know is that there was a second General Glory??! I remember the orginal one from the JLA run back in the late 80s and that he was Guy Gardner's hero cracked me up. Vandal Savage as a bad guy is a cool choice to me as it seems pretty logical that he would be concerned about heroic legacies as they could be viewed as competition. I particually liked the line when Wilcat's son refered to him as a "caveman"...classic. Another random thought ...what ever happened to Red Wolf...I remember him from Young All Stars way back when but have not seen that character in quite some time. I recently learned that robotman's parts were used in the STRIPE armor and thought that was quite cool and hope something nice like that has been done with Red Wolf. Heres to hoping he did not needless die in Infinate Crisis...lol come to think of it I better look back at those issues and make sure he did not. As always good reading to you all.

I think you mean the Flying Fox. Red Wolf is a Marvel hero. I'm pretty sure, if you re-read the Young All-Stars, that it Flying Fox's grandfather mentioned that his grandson would only be revived from death until the Nazi's were stopped. So, did Flying Fox drop dead on VE Day? And if so, now that there is a renewed Nazi threat, would Flying Fox return to battle this new foe?

I don't know, don't get me wrong, I think Geoff is going to turn Steel into a great character but "gets spit on and turns to metal" just seemed like an unlikely way for the character to be "born" in my opinion. Also, I hope Wildcat's son doesn't join the team, I mean I like the idea of the character but I really don't want the first arc of this volume of JSA to be that predictable and generic. I really liked Sand's entrance into the story, the Sandman persona suits him in a more dark and interesting (yet with a wierd atmosphere if anyone knows what I'm trying to say) kind of way.

Also, the big question, who did Ted Grant do the nasty with?

I think it would be cool if we had Wildcat and Tomcat around for awhile. Let Tomcat...Wildkitty...whatever play sidekick for a bit.

Course...Vandal is probably going to kill someone...

Cross my fingers and my toes...I hope its not Ted. I hope its not Ted. I hope its not Ted.

E!

Yeah man I meant Flying Fox for sure! Sorry it was late when I wrote that but you knew the character I was talking about. On super hero origins: I think alot of DC heroes have odd ones...Sand (Sandy) has powers from being a Sand Monster, Wildcat besides his personal training is bascially the result of magic gone wrong...so a messy super hero/villian battle imo is no big deal...but hey I guess there are only so many origins ;\)

Surprised no one has mentioned yet another death of a golden-age character: Minute Man (one of my favorite Fawcett heroes). And they couldn't even get his name right: it's Jack WESTON, not Burton. Sigh.
