When Power Girl fought Supergirl, whose strength was said to be roughly equivalent to Superman’s, Power Girl matched her. And when Stargirl amped Supergirl with solar energy, Power Girl matched her again. When Supergirl and Power Girl almost came to blows later during their Kandor adventure, Supergirl was reluctant to take Power Girl on. So is the current Power Girl roughly equal to or even superior to current Supergirl, which is to say, current Superman as well?

Since I am a big Power Girl fan, I’d be delighted to see this be the case. I’d also find it amusing if the most physically powerful character on DC Earth was a woman. But I somehow doubt DC will allow a relatively minor character be equal or superior to their flagship character.

I've got nothing to base this on other than my own understanding and what I've read in the comics but here is my take on it. Kara is now back to being a Krytonian from the Earth 2 Krypton. At the least, that makes her the equivalent of Supergirl. I think it has been established that Supergirl is not actually more powerful than Superman but she is much more wreckless and less controlled which has given her an edge when things have come to blows with him. That being said, it would make since that since Kara is not one to hold back either, these two should be able to mix it up pretty well. Again, I'm not sure about this but I think it was also established at one time that the Earth 2 Superman was more powerful than Earth 1 so I would think that would also apply to the Supergirls (or Supergirl and Power Girl). Therefore, I am led to believe that Power Girl could probably pretty well take out Supergirl and Superman if she needed to. Again, this is all speculation and I have no references to site as to where I got my information. It is just stuff that I have picked up reading here and there over time. I would love to hear anyone else's take on this.

Most of the team-ups I'VE seen between Earth-1 and Earth-2 Supermans (Supermnen?) have shown that E-1 was the mightier of the two.

In one instance, they WERE shown to be equal in strength (JLA 73, I think), but that MAY have been said to have been because of Aquarius' magic.

Power Girl was injured by a weapon in All-Star Comics the Earth-1 Superman would've shrugged off.

With the statement that old age on Ka-L's part might have played a role in this.

Also the Earth 2 Kryptonians powered up much slower than the Earth 1 Kryptonians, which got their powers instantly.

Of course, by all rights, they still should be more than able to slaughter the post-crisis/ZH/BR Superman and Supergirl. Yet it does seem that Kal-L and Kara Zor-L were somehow downgraded to powerlevels equivalent to those, their post-crisis doppelgänger possess.
