How come we've barely seen him since he came back to the JSA? Seems like Johns has been neglecting him even since he left the team after Black Reign. Hell, even before that he didn't seem to play a fitting part in Princes of Darkness.

*Disclaimer* I do not always think I'm right, I do not have a problem admitting I'm wrong, and I don't consider my opinion to be "fact". If I don't write IMO in front of everything I say or I don't tuck my tail between my legs everytime someone disagrees with me it's simply cause...I mean what I say. I don't say something unless I believe it to be true. So if someone tries to police my opinion or pick an arguement over something trivial all I'll simply say is "read the fine print" I also don't care If I make a grammatical or spelling error. Thank you, have a nice day, Hakuna Matata, Live long and Prosper.

I think DC has wanted to focus on Hawkgirl lately. They seem to think the best way to do that is to keep Hawkman out of sight.

I could understand that in the (former) ongoing but in JSA?

Maybe DC has finally realized that the slippery slope they've been on since Hawkworld has finally hit the razor sharp rocks at the bottom. Hawkman IMO has too confusing a history at this point, with his JLA career now requiring three different characters to explain. Better he stay off panel for good.

I disagree. At some point, they need to bring a storyline together for Hawkman if there are some changes in continuity. I think this is a good time as any to profile him again as Johns has been doing with the other characters. A good place to do it would be in JSA Classified. I just don't think they should leave the fans hanging.

Furthermore, it was a bigger mess turning the Hawkman series into Hawkgirl for so long. I completely lost interest in the book under Mr. Simonson's run. (No disrespect to the veteran writer, I just thought that he couldn't make her interesting enough to carry the series for that length of time).

I loved Johns' as well as Gray and Palmiotti's runs of the series. It seems to me that those writers had a good handle on who Hawkman was and was true to his character. I know that since he is a senior member of this team, they cannot continue to ignore him without a storyline for too long. I am confident that Johns has some plans for him in the near future, but he is busy developing some of these new characters.

Also, I'd like to see them reintegrate Dr. Fate back into the fold at some point too.

Saving Hawkman would be ridiculously easy but I doubt they'd do it my way. All they have to do is slide Hawkworld back a bit (the exact same way they've done Wonder Woman) and then there's no need for GA Hawkman in the JLA or another Thanagarian. I haven't figured out how to undo the Hawk God crap without just ignoring it tho'. And I haven't forgiven Johns yet for ruining the Golden Eagle character from one of my favorite JLA stories ever but that's just random...

Let's hear it \:\-\) With the Multiverse back, altering Hawkman & Hawkgirl would be easy.

It seems DC has something cooking. I don't remember it, but someone at the Baltimore ComiCon asked about Hawkman, and DiDio wanted to reply but was cut off by Bob Wayne. Maybe that's a good sign. Let's not forget that he's apparently taking part in Final Crisis, so he won't stay off the radar for long.

I hope DC goes back to the original, simple origin - a cop from spacefaring Thanagar that came to Earth in pursuit of a crook and decided to stay out of a desire to learn more about our planet. It's a nice contrast with Clark and J'Onn who don't have a world to go back to. And the whole concept can be explained in a single sentence.

I have always thought the character of Hawkman to be a cool one. In my opinion DC needs to have an origin for him and stick to it whether that be Alien cop, perpetual reincarnate, or Hawk Avatar. I can understand a story and a character evolving and changing over time but I think they went with too many things too soon. I am not opposed to a character's origin changing or being added to in time but three changes in 10 years or so is too much. Thats my my 2 cents.

I think that Hawk avatar crap is better off forgotten by editorial along with the Fel Andar/Carter Jr./Sharon Parker mess. As much as I like Carter & Kendra, I hope the Thanagarians return in some way or at least have their past restored.

As for JSofA, I'd like to see Carter and Powergirl's affair explored more and find out what really happened.
