Man just got through reading that issue, waited for it for ages, and man did it not disappoint. Been reading other peoples posts and let me clear something up first, kingdom come superman was brought to new earth when he was being hit by the lighting after the bomb was dropped in the book. And if/when he returns he will probably be returned to that point. So his appearance on New earth wont destroy that story... anyway, 1st things 1st; Man it feels good for JSA to have their own Superman again, I've always like the fact that they are sorta never say die mature heroes and this older version of supes blends in so well. He is a goddamn powerhouse through aint he, looks like he is superman taken up a notch.

Love the fact that he is inspiring a bit of awe as well, been a while since i've looked at NE supes and gone "wow" and that shot of Supes after he has saved the girl is a perfect kodak superman moment.

Point in fact, the art in this book was great, he managed to keep the fimilarliy of the Kingdom books and balanced out the people like Jay by making them look older but not to old to be heroes. Dont know what the guy in the post below is talking about. KC supes looked cool as well, like how superman was originally drawn, not a body builder, more like just a very powerful man.

Plot wise, it was great, and I instantly knew that this was going to fit, he fills a intresting part in the series. I wonder if he will become a leader in the JSA or just follow orders cause to be honest the way he reacted to that girl jumping makes me think he's not going to be just following orders.

Oh man Johns is delievering me some good stories ! I cant wait for him to meet main stream superman.
