DC could replace "JSA Classified" (which seems to be largely a try-out book for new talent) with "JSA World War" and make it a serious book worth buying consistently.

Paul Levits could write it! Or even... Roy Thomas! Or they could take turns!

Ordway could do the art, maybe?

I love Ordway's art. It's good all the time, but his classic style really really suits the JSA.

I dunno about that, but with all the members that have joined the Society currently, and a new batch coming shortly, I wonder if a current continuity A-S Squadron is in the offing

Unfortunately, I don't see it happening, and I would not want the current DC people even attmepting it. Only Roy Thomas could do justice to such a series. For me, DC has screwed with their history/continuity too much, and there is too much that needs to be cleaned up/fixed up.

The only way I'd do a All Star Squadron series, is if DC would get Roy Thomas on board and let him set the series in Pre Crisis Earth-2,X,S & 1, and just continue where he left off, circa All Star Squadron#60, circa 1986. Otherwise, there's no point. Since COIE, and the 1990 departure of Roy Thomas, DC has not had anyone do any justice to their golden age characters. Roy Thomas was the continuity king, and knew how to write and retcon in the correct way. I loved the original run, and there's no way it could be done justice, with how screwed up DC has become over the past 21 years.
