The current Freedom Fighters mini-series is on issue #5 of 8 with #6 coming out at the end of this month. So far it has been a good. They have expanded on the backgrounds of some of the new members, given page time to some sorely underutilized Golden Age characters and reintroduced at least one so far. They have introduced legacy characters for some of the Quality heroes but how closely they are related and how long they will last is still up in the air. They have also screwed up at least one member of the new team and possibly killed another Golden Age character but it's too soon to tell for sure and start griping!

On a related note, isn't it about time for a trade paperback of the 70's Freedom Fighter series? It only ran around 13 issues but wasn't bad. DC could also include the battle between them and the Secret Soicety of Supervillians that was never published due to the implosion.
